Mini Apple, Walnut (or Pecan) and Blue Puffs

Ingredients for 25 servings

1 pack puff pastry sheet ready rolled – thawed if frozen
1-2  apples – sliced and each slice halved or quartered.
100g walnut pieces – or pecan if preferred
1 pack Castello ®Extra Creamy Blue Cheese - cut or crumbled into medium sized pieces.

Beaten egg to glaze

Mini Apple, Walnut (or Pecan) and Blue Puffs

Preparation

Preheat oven to 220ºC (200ºC for fan assisted ovens) Gas Mark 7

Unroll pastry and cut out discs using a 5cm cutter. Place on a baking sheet and top each disc with a piece of apple, piece of cheese and a nut piece, keeping topping in middle to allow pastry rise around edges.

Brush edges with beaten egg and bake for 10 – 12 mins until risen, golden and cheese melted – serve warm.
