Blue Cheese Burger with Red Cabbage

Here is our very own street burger, inspired by the city of New York and using Castello Burger Blue – our supreme blue cheese slices adding that little extra to your cheese burger.
Ingredients for 4-6 servings
  • 1 1/4 cups red cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups cider vinegar
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red onion
  • 4-6 buns
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 2 red pickled grilled peppers
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4-6 slices Castello Burger Blue

Preparation

The day before:

Slice the red cabbage finely and put in a bowl with sugar and vinegar. Let  sit overnight

On the day:

Season meat with salt, pepper and paprika and form into patties. Chop all vegetables for burgers. Mix chili sauce with the mayo and spread on the buns. Grill the burgers and add blue cheese slices.

Pour the vinegar from red cabbage. Top burgers with cabbage and serve.
