Cheese board with Maple Candied Walnuts

Ingredients for 1 serving

Maple Candied Walnuts:

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups walnuts

1/2 tablespoon sugar

Pinch of cinnamon

Pinch of salt

 

Cheese Board:

Castello Havarti Herbs and Spice

Castello Traditional Danish Blue

Strawberries

Green Grapes

Blood Oranges

Kiwi

Pickled Ramps

French Bread

Assorted Crackers

Cherry Preserves

Black Pepper Salami

Cheese board with Maple Candied Walnuts

Preparation

Maple Candied Walnuts:

Over medium heat, add butter, maple syrup and vanilla to a cast iron pan. Once the mixture starts to bubble, add walnuts and stir for 5 minutes until most liquid has evaporated.

Spread mixture on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Let cool for 3 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and salt. Sprinkle over the nuts and toss gently.

Arrange all the cheese board ingredients. Serve.
