Summer Pizza on the grill with Castello Creamy White, bresaola and peach

Nothing beats a homemade pizza. And with only a little experience you’re sure to outmatch your neighborhood pizza place.

Pizza doesn’t need tomato sauce every time – why not add a base of pesto instead as it adds some delicious herbal flavors to the pizza. The pesto can of course be with basil but parsley, rocket or other green herbs will do just as well.

And while you’re at it why not add a Creamy White instead of the usual mozzarella. Creamy White melts easily and has an intense flavor without being too strong. Another variation of fruit and cheese pizza could be crisp dough topped with blue mould cheese and pear – maybe even add some thin slices of veal.

Tips for grilling pizza

Grilling the pizza has its advantages, because you can achieve very high heat coming from the bottom, which gives the pizza a crisp bottom. But remember to use the lid and a pizza stone that has been preheated.
