France’s most famous cheese

Camembert is one of the stars of the cheese world, having spawned a slew of more or less successful imitations. Genuine Camembert is handcrafted from the milk of cows grazing on the lush grass of Normandy. The peppery aroma, creamy texture, and salty-sweet taste make it ideal on a biscuit, perhaps together with some fig jam and walnuts accompanied by dry apple cider.
