Raise A Glass To Oktoberfest – Until The Cows Come Home
Oktoberfest. Now there’s a party Canadians can appreciate. Each year, six million people gather over 17 days in jolly Munich, to raise a (very large) stein of beer, listen to traditional Bavarian music and consume local cuisine favourites like Schweinebraten (roast pork), Schweinshaxe (grilled ham hock), Würstl (sausages), Sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) and Käsespätzle (cheese noodles). The annual celebration – considered the world’s largest fair — has been running for over 200 years.
