Italian stecca bread with garlic and Castello Tickler Mature Cheddar

Easy to make, a pleasure to eat - our recipe for Italian Stecca Bread with with garlic and cheese will set off your appetite while the bread is in the oven. ingredients

  • approx. 550g - 600 g wheat flour
  • 300 ml water
  • 20 g yeast
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 150 g Castello® Tickler Mature Cheddar
  • 5 garlic cloves and herbs of your choice

preparation

Dissolve the yeast in the water and add flour and salt

Stir the dough together until the dough is uniform

Cover the dough and let it rise for about 2 hours

Chop the Castello Tickler Mature Cheddar and garlic and rinse the herbs

Place the dough on a floured surface and divide into 3 pieces

Spread out each lump of dough, so there is room for the filling

Place the cheese and herbs in the middle, close and let it rise for about 1 hour

Brush the loaves with oil, garnish them with spices or vegetables

Bake at 240 ° for about 10 minutes
