Garlic dip with crispy greens

A fun snack for laid back times - our recipe for Garlic dip with crispy greens is casual pleaser with big flavours. Cream cheese with garlic, herbs and greens. That’s it. Beauty in simplicity. Make the dip as an appetiser to go with wine, as a pre-dinner snack for the family - or for a solo indulgence.

  • Castello® Organic Cream Cheese with Garlic
  • 50 ml milk
  • 4 tbsp of finely chopped fresh basil leaves
  • ¼ tsp of coarse salt
  • 450 g fresh green asparagus
  • 200 g carrots sticks
  • 85 g whole wheat crispy breadsticks


1. Mix the cream cheese with the milk, basil, salt and pepper. Mix the garlic dip until smooth, cover and place in the fridge for at least 15 minutes. Season to taste.

2. Break off the bottom, tough part of the green asparagus and cut into pieces approx. 7 cm long. Place the asparagus pieces in a flat dish and cover with boiling water.

3. Allow them to stand for approx. 1 minute, drain and rinse in ice-cold water. Drain in a sieve.

4. Eat the asparagus, carrots and breadsticks with the garlic dip.
