Philly Cheeseburger

Ingredients for 4 servings

4 burgers

4 burger buns

1 pound ground beef

4 slices of Extra Mature Cheddar

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 large onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced

Salt and pepper, to season

4 tablespoons olive oil



Philly Cheeseburger


Thinly slice the onion, bell pepper and mushrooms. Sauté in oil until barely golden and slightly wilted. Season well with salt and pepper. Place in a bowl.

Form the ground beef into 4 patties and season with salt and pepper. Grill the patties for 4 minutes on each side.

Top with the sautéed vegetables and a slice of cheddar, allowing cheddar to melt before adding to buns. 

Spread the warm buns with mayonnaise. Then top with lettuce, the patty and veggies and then the top bun.
