Blue cheese burger with red cabbage

Here is our very own street burger, inspired by the city of New York and using Castello Burger Blue – our supreme blue cheese slices adding that little extra to your cheese burger.
4-6 servings
  • 300g red cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • Approximately 0.5 L cider vinegar
  • 500g minced beef
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red onion
  • 4-6 buns
  • 6 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 2 red pickled grilled peppers
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4-6 slices Castello Burger Blue

Preparation

The day before:

1. Slice the red cabbage finely and put in a bowl with sugar and vinegar

2. Let it sit overnight

On the day:

1. Season the meat with salt, pepper and paprika and form them into patties

2. Cut all the vegetables, so they are ready for burgers

3. Mix Chili sauce with the mayo and spread on the buns

4. Fry the steaks and add the blue cheese slices

5. Pour the vinegar from red cabbage

6. Assemble your burger
