Walnuts in Honey

15min Ingredients for 4 servings

1 pack Castello® Double Crème Blue

100g walnuts
250g honey
1 pinch salt
2 sprigs thyme

Walnuts in Honey


Roast the walnuts in a frying pan as it helps to release the flavour. Add salt, thyme and honey. Let the honey warm through, because it also helps absorb the flavors of nuts and thyme. After about 5 minutes, add the mixture into a jar.

You can of course vary the nuts to your liking, but walnuts have a bit of a bitterness which goes exceptionally well with the Double Crème Blue cheese.
