ingredients

  • ½ large apple, cut into thin slices, e.g. Jonagored (approx. 300 g)
  • ¼ tbsp ginger marmalade
  • ¼ tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 slices whole grain or rye bread (approx. 250 g)
  • 1 fig bar (approx. 25g)
  • 50 g Castello® Double crème blue or black

preparation

Preparation

1. Toss the apples with ginger marmalade, lemon juice and sesame seeds.

2. Cut the fig bar lengthwise into three strips.

3. Make four sandwiches with the fig topping and cheese.

4. Spread some butter on the outside of the bread slices before toasting.

5. Heat two sandwiches at a time for 3 minutes or until golden using a pan or sandwich toaster.

6. Arrange the apple salad on plates with the toasted sandwiches.

7. Serve immediately.
