With the romaine lettuce serving as a crisp wessel for crunchy cabbage, creamy, peppery cheese and fried bacon, this is a dish that’s as strong on textures as it is on flavours. Perfect for a warm day.

  • 2 heads romaine lettuce
  • ¼ head cabbage
  • ¼ red cabbage
  • a bit of fresh parsley
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 pack sliced bacon
  • 2 packs Cream Cheese with Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp sour cream


1. Mix the cheese and the sour cream.

2. Chop the parsley and add it to the mixture.

3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Fry the bacon and slice it into small strips.

5. Slice the cabbage into strips.

6. Divide the romaine lettuce into leaves.

Now you can build up your canapés: Lettuce leaves, Sliced cabbage, Cheese mixture, Bacon, Sprinkle with a little bit of parsley if desired
