These Official Rules govern the “Hype the Havarti Food Truck Challenge” (the “challenge”) sponsored by CASTELLO® (the “Sponsor”) and administered by Roaming Hunger, Inc. (the “Administrator”).
Challenge Period: This program officially begins on May 18, 2022 and ends on August 31, 2022. Registration and entry is only available via the official challenge website: HYPETHEHAVARTI.COM
Only eligible registrations submitted during the initial entry period (May 18, 2022 through June 18th, 2022) may be considered to become a potential finalist.
Eligibility: THIS CHALLENGE IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Participants must be owners, managers or operators of a professional mobile food truck vehicle. Employees, family members and persons living in the same households of such employees, of Sponsor, Marketing Associates, Administrator, or their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, challenge and fulfillment agencies (“Challenge Parties”) are not eligible to enter. Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age and have reached the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of entry. This challenge is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. By entering, Entrants certify that they meet all eligibility requirements. Entrant may be required to furnish proof of identification and other proof of eligibility under these Official Rules.
Registration Entry Method: Entrants must first register for the challenge at HypetheHavarti.com. Entrants can only register once to be considered for the challenge. Entrant must follow all instructions and complete the registration form in its entirety and provide all requested information. Entrants will provide a full recipe using Castello Creamy Havarti Cheese, in addition to a name, description and an optional photo of the recipe.
Image Usage: All content posted and uploaded during entry period needs to be original. Using images owned by others or found online is not compliant or acceptable for the program. Furthermore, these images are considered to be copyright and in violation to copyright laws. Any truck found using stock images or copyrighted work, will be immediately disqualified from the program. Photos must be original and an original food creation. Entrants understand and agree that they shall retain all ownership rights in Entry (except for Castello Material); however, by submitting an Entry, Entrant hereby grants Sponsor a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to edit, publish, use, adapt, exploit, modify or dispose of any Entry, in whole or in part, online, in print, film, television, or in any other media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification to Entrant or any third party, for any purpose whatsoever.
Once registered, the Administrator will select ten (10) Finalists to participate in the challenge.
FINALIST SELECTION
The top ten finalists will be selected based on recipe creativity, consumer appeal and evaluation of the ways the Entrant will promote “Hype the Havarti” online, on social media and in person during services. Finalists will be selected at the sole discretion of the Administrator.
PROGRAM TIMELINE
Finalist Responsibilities:
Finalists will create a unique and novel menu item for sale to the public using CASTELLO® Creamy Havarti Cheese product.
Each Food Truck will serve the challenge menu item during the challenge period (from July 21, 2022 – July 31, 2022). Cheese will be provided by the Administrator. Any additional ingredients required for the curated menu item, to be provided by Finalists, at the sole expense of the Finalist, during the challenge period. The finalists will sell the menu item throughout the duration of the challenge period on their food truck.
Hype Events:
Each finalist is required to participate in up to two (2) Hype Events. The Hype Events will be at a location provided and secured by the Administrator, at a mutually agreed upon distance and time. One (1) Hype Event will require the finalists to provide 50 free samples of their CASTELLO Creamy Havarti cheese menu item during one (1) pre-scheduled Hype Event. Additionally, each finalist may be required to participate in one (1) retailer Hype Event to be determined by Sponsor and executed on a mutually-agreed upon date, location and time between Finalist, Sponsor and Administrator. Each finalist will be paid a service fee, (the fee amount be determined by the Administrator) for participation in the Hype Event. The Finalists will be responsible for all culinary staffing within the truck for the Hype Event. The Administrator will be responsible for all Brand Ambassador staffing outside of the truck during each Hype Event. The Administrator will be responsible for all branded serving wares and staff uniforms during Hype Events as determined or required by Administrator.
Winner Selection: Participants will be required to share metrics on social engagement (e.g., likes shares, reactions, hashtag usage), and documented special item sales data post activation to help Administrator determine which Finalist receives a Prize. The Administrator will also tally all consumer votes on the HypetheHavarti.com website to include in selecting a winner.
All federal, state, provincial, territorial and local taxes, and any other costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use are the sole responsibility of the Winner. All Prize details are at Administrator’s sole discretion.

One Grand Prize Winner will receive $20,000 and a one (1)-year supply of Castello cheese (awarded in the form of 936 lbs. [104 cases of 9 lb. loaf] of Havarti. Cheese must be obtained through distributor partner.) Certain terms and conditions as specified by issuer apply.
One Runner Up Winner will receive a one (1)-year supply of Castello cheese (awarded in the form of 936 lbs. [104 cases of 9 lb. loaf] of Havarti. Cheese must be obtained through distributor partner.) Certain terms and conditions as specified by issuer apply.
Fraudulent Activity: Finalists discovered to defraud the challenge are subject to termination of the challenge. All information submitted is subject to audit. Administrator reserves the right to terminate any registered entrant or finalist without prior warning or notification. Once terminated, the participant will be notified and disqualified from receiving any prize or future participation.
Limit to Entries: You may only use one (1) business or brand to enter this challenge. Only one email address will be assigned to your mobile food truck vehicle.
Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in this challenge constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this challenge. Entrant waives any right to claim ambiguity with respect to these Official Rules. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling the basic requirements set forth in the Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant for failing to fulfill all the requirements set in these Official Rules.
Finalist Notification: Finalists will be notified by email, and/or telephone (at Sponsor’s sole discretion), within ten (10) days of the selection. Finalists must reply to the message by the date indicated in the notification with the required information. In the event a Finalist fails to return such message by the date indicated in the notification, or if Finalist is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules, then the Finalist may be disqualified and an alternate Finalist may be selected from the remaining eligible entries by using the judging criteria outlined above. If finalist notification is returned as undeliverable or refused, Sponsor is unable to contact the finalist within a reasonable time-period, or finalist is not in compliance with these Official Rules, eligibility to participate may be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries received.
Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for technical difficulties with telecommunications systems beyond their control. All federal, state, provincial, territorial and local taxes, and any other costs and expenses associated with Prize acceptance and use are the sole responsibility of the Winner. All Prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Release: By entering the challenge, Entrant agrees to release and hold harmless, Sponsor and its related companies, the challenge Parties, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the challenge or receipt or use of any prize.
Use of Winner’s Name, Likeness, etc. Except where prohibited by law, entry into the challenge constitutes permission to use winner’s name, likeness, persona, hometown, and/or Prize information in all media now known or later devised throughout the universe in perpetuity for all purposes Sponsor deems appropriate – including, without limitation, for challenge and publicity purposes – without further permission or compensation. As a condition of being awarded any Prize, except where prohibited by law, winner may (in Sponsor’s sole discretion) be required to execute a written consent, confirming Sponsor’s right to use such winner’s name, likeness, persona, hometown, and/or Prize information without further permission or compensation.
Limitations of Liability: Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for: (i) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (ii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the challenge; (iv) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the challenge or the processing of entries; (vi) change in the prizing (or any components thereof) due to unavailability or due to reasons beyond Sponsor’s control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s), or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not such action(s), regulation(s), order(s), request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, threatened or actual terrorist acts, earthquake, fire, war, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute, or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or other cause beyond Sponsor’s control; (vii) acceptance, receipt, delivery of, possession, defects in, use, non-use, misuse, inability to use, loss, damage, destruction, negligence or willful misconduct in connection with the use of a prize (or any component thereof); or (vii) any injury or damage to persons or property, including but not limited to Entrant’s computer, hardware or software, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant’s participation in the challenge.
Dispute Resolution: Entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this challenge, or any prizes awarded, including the administration of the challenge or the determination of winners shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the Los Angeles, CA (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this challenge but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the Entrant and Sponsor in connection with the challenge, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Privacy Policy: Any personally identifiable information collected during an entrant’s participation in the challenge will be collected by Sponsor or designee and used by Sponsor, its affiliates, designees, agents and marketers for the purposes of the proper administration and fulfillment of the challenge as described in these Official Rules and in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy as stated at HypetheHavarti.com.
Winners List: For names of winners, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Program HQ 7561 Sunset Blvd, Suite 204, Los Angeles, CA by 12/31/22.
