Chili Cheese Popcorn with Grated Cheddar

Enjoyed in great company with friends or a movie – our recipe for Chili cheese popcorn with matured cheddar presents a fun twist on the grandparent of all snack-foods. Dusted in smoked paprika and ground chili, hot popcorn receive a dash of grated lemon zest and fine shavings of matured Cheddar.

  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 2⅗ ounces popcorn corn
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground chillies
  • 1 tbsp finely grated lemons zest
  • sea salt
  • 3½ ounces finely grated Castello® Extra mature cheddar



1. Heat 2 tbsp. olive oil in a large pot. Add the popcorn, cover and shake the pot for about 3-5 min. or until the popcorn is popped.

2. Remove the pot from the heat and add the remaining oil and paprika, chili, lemon zest, salt and pepper. Put the lid on and shake everything up.

3. Sprinkle the popcorn with grated Castello® Extra Mature Cheddar and serve warm.
