Garlicky Ham & Cheese Sliders

ingredients

  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • ½ cups unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp whole grain mustard
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (white, black or mixed)
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp dried minced onions
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • Flaked salt, to taste
  • 1 12 pack brioche slider bun
  • 1 pound thinly sliced deli ham
  • 2 brick Castello® Havarti

preparation

Preheat the oven to 375(f) degrees.

In a saucepan over low heat add the butter, garlic & mustard until well combined. Remove from heat. Add the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, minced onion, red pepper flakes & black pepper. Set aside until ready to use.

Using a serrated knife, slice the buns in half to separate the top & bottom. Keep the rolls together to form two slabs of bread.

Transfer the bottom slab to a 9 by 12 baking sheet with edges. Begin with a layer of cheese, followed by a layer of ham. Repeat ending with a final layer of cheese.

Top with the remaining slab of bread & slowly pour over the butter. Use a pastry brush to ensure each nook is covered.

Cover with foil & bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil & continue baking until the tops are golden, about 5 minutes. Slice & serve immediately!
