
Nu Havarti Grilled Cheese
The Nu Havarti Grilled Cheese is a delicious Indian twist on a classic grilled cheese, featuring a crunchy thick-cut bread, tangy mango mustard and a melty cheese pull that is second-to-none using CASTELLO® Creamy Havarti Cheese.

- ¼ stick butter
- 4 slices Castello® Havarti creamy
- 2 tbsp mango chutney
- 1 tbsp stone-ground mustard
- ½ tsp ginger powder
- 2 slices thick-cut Italian bread

1. Warm butter to soft, spreadable consistency. Heat griddle or frying pan to medium temperature.
2. Mix together mango chutney, stone-ground mustard and ginger powder.
3. Spread mango mustard mixture thickly on the inside of both bread slices, all the way to the edge, then remove any excess.
4. Cut 4 slices of CASTELLO® Creamy Havarti Cheese and place the slices inside the bread slices, spreading them to all four corners of the bread.
5. Spread butter thickly on the outside of both bread slices, all the way to the edge, then remove any excess.
6. Place the sandwich on a griddle or pan, and cover. Let the bottom side cook until golden brown and crusty; approximately 4 minutes. Flip and repeat.
7. Slice diagonally. Careful not to let the melted cheese run out; it’ll be super goopy. Serve with tandoori-flavored chips and a ‘nu dill’ pickle.
