An elegant companion for bubbles - our recipe for Heart Salad Boats with Cheddar & Mango Chutney is a lovely thing to nibble on over a glass of Prosecco. Crisp heart salad, cool and crunchy cucumber and a sweet, nutty mature cheddar - topped with cilantro and sweet and spicy mango chutney to make it come to life.
Ingredients
- small 8 Leaves of baby romaine lettuce
- 8 slices Castello® Extra mature cheddar, approx. 4 oz.
- ½ cucumbers
- 2 tbsp mango chutney
- freshly chopped fresh coriander
Preparation
Preparation1. Place the heart salad leaves on a platter or plate.
2. Peel the cucumber, split it in half lengthwise and remove the seeds with a spoon.
3. Cut the cucumber into slices and add them on top of the heart salad leaves. Top with slices of Castello Matured Cheddar and finish with mango chutney and fresh cilantro.
Serve with Prosecco.
