Cheese board with maple candied walnuts

Ingredients

Maple candied walnuts:

1 tbsp unsalted butter
⅓ cups pure maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups walnuts
½ tbsp sugar
pinches of cinnamon
pinches of salt

Cheese board:

strawberries
green grape
blood oranges
kiwi fruits
pickled ramps
french bread
assorted crackers
cherry sauce
black pepper salami

Preparation

Maple Candied Walnuts:

For the Maple Candied Walnuts: Over medium heat, add butter, maple syrup and vanilla to a cast iron pan. Once the mixture starts to bubble, add walnuts and stir for 5 minutes until most liquid has evaporated.

Spread mixture on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Let cool for 3 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and salt. Sprinkle over the nuts and toss gently.

Arrange the Castello® Havarti Herbs & Spices and Traditional Danish Blue cheeses with the other cheeseboard ingredients and serve.
