Lentil and cheese burgers

ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked lentils (I boiled 2 cups red lentils in 4 cups water for 25 minutes)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp ground fresh coriander
  • 1 tsp ground ground cumin
  • 1½ tsp paprika
  • ½ cup grated Castello® Havarti dill
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp greek yoghurt
  • 1 tsp wasabi paste
  • 1¼ tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

preparation

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl till well incorporated.

3. Coat a pan with olive oil and let heat up over a medium flame.

4. Form lentil-cheese mixture into burgers.

5. Cook on each side for 4 minutes -flipping gently.

6. Transfer to a foil lined baking tray and bake at 375 for 15 minutes.

Sauce:

7. Mix all the ingredients together and serve with warm Lentil & Cheese Burgers.
