- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1 cup honey
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 1 package Castello® Double Crème Blue
Walnuts in Honey
Roast walnuts in a frying pan until fragrant. Add salt, thyme and honey. Let the honey warm through, to help absorb the flavors of the nuts and thyme. After about 5 minutes, add the mixture to a glass jar.
You can, of course, vary the variety of nuts to your liking, although walnuts have a bit of acid and bitterness, which goes exceptionally well with blue mold cheese.
