Ingredients: 1½ dl wheat flour; ¾ dl wholemeal flour; 2 dl flaxseed; 1 tsp baking powder; 1 tsp salt; ½ dl oil; 1¼ cups water; 2 cups sugar; 2 cups water; 400 g of strawberries

Making your own gift basket allows for a personal twist, such as homemade crispbread and sweet strawberry compote – it is easy and perfect when served next to your favourite cheeses. For that special someone, give them a special something.

Crispbread

1½ dl wheat flour

¾ dl wholemeal flour

2 dl flaxseed

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

½ dl oil

1¼ cups water

Strawberry compote

2 cups sugar

2 cups water

400 g of strawberries

Want to surprise someone special? Why not put together a homemade gift basket with cheese and some accompaniments ? A small cheese board is the perfect conversation starter and a great opportunity for spending some cheerful hours together.

This gift basket includes Creamy White, Creamy Blue and Matured Cheddar paired with baguette, blackcurrant jam, coarse crispbread and strawberry compote.

Crispbread

Mix all the dry ingredients with a fork and add oil and water. Stir it well so all lumps disappear.

Roll out the dough on a baking sheet between two pieces of wax paper. It should be one big thin layer

Cut the crispbreads in squares and bake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C for about 20 min.

Strawberry compote

Add all ingredients in a pot on medium heat. Let it simmer for about 1-1.5 hours until it has a thick consistency.
