1. Peel and core the pears, then cut them into smaller pieces.
2. Put them in a pot with the water and boil for about 7-10 min. until slightly tender.
3. Add the honey and fennel seeds. Continue to cook until you have the desired consistency. Add lemon to taste.
4. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Pour into a jar or plastic container if it is to be served at a later time.
