Tagliatelle Pasta with Castello® Creamy Blue Cheese & Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
400 g tagliatelle or any other pasta of choice
Sauce
200 ml cream (38% fat)
4 tsp of black pepper
400 g button mushrooms
50 g butter
salt & pepper
20 g fresh basil
Preparation
Pasta
Cook the pasta al dente and drain the water.
Sauce
Bring the cream to a boil.
Cut Castello® Creamy Blue cheese into small pieces, add one half of the cheese to the cream and season with black pepper.
Whisk until you have a thick cheese sauce. Take it off the heat and add a pinch of salt.
Slice the mushrooms and fry in a little butter until golden. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix the mushrooms with the cheese sauce as well as the second half of the cheese already pre-cut into slices.
Pour the sauce over the pasta or add pasta into the sauce. Mix carefully.
Serve with some fresh basil and enjoy a delightfully complex flavour experience.
